What equipment is needed to trap a San Diego house mouse?

Introduction
A San Diego house mouse lives in human houses just as its name suggests. The only thing that makes the unique from other breeds of mice is that they are capable of selecting the most isolated areas within human houses and build nests in such areas. The reason why they use isolated areas in human houses as habitats is the mostly because they are able to get a constant food supply from such areas since they feed on almost every food that human beings feed on.

Reasons for trapping house mice
Mice usually cause a lot of problems to people living in the same houses. Some of these problems include the following;
• After feeding, animals are known to leave droppings all over. House mice are no exception because they usually leave black rice like droppings in attics and areas they frequently visit in search of food within human houses.
• The need for materials to build their nests makes the California mice gnaw on almost every structure they come across including electric wires and wooden cardboards. As a result, one may end up incurring high repair and maintenance costs of such structures.
• During silent nights when people are trying to find comfort in their houses, the house mice are fond of scratching all over as they fight amongst themselves especially for the available food.
The main reason for trapping the San Diego house mice hence remains to be that of eradicating the above problems they cause once they find a home in human being’s houses.

Equipment’s for trapping house mice
There are various equipment’s designed for trapping California house mice. They include:
• The snap trap – this is a mouse trap that usually operates by having a slam down bar that breaks the neck of the mouse that tries to feed on the bait attached to it.
• The glue trap is also a common equipment used in trapping mice in that the mouse that comes to feed on a bait gets glued on the surface of the trap until it is eased away by someone.
• Most people prefer the live cages to trap San Diego house mice. These are cages with baits in them that are usually attached to the door in such a way the bait is touched, the door slums close hence trapping the mouse.

Finally
There are several equipment’s recommended for use in trapping San Diego house mice. The most important point to be taken into consideration is the action should be taken once the mice are trapped. Trapped mice should be relocated to areas far from human homes and hence the use of live traps is recommended.
